Hope Springs Eternal - SOLD

I'm sure its almost comical to most women that there was this practice of having a chest for storing all of the items you collected for your future household. I'm sure this cedar chest circa 1930's was just that. It probably was passed down for several generations before arriving here.  The solid wood chest is fully lined in pristine cedar.  Every time I open it it reminds me of my grandmothers house.  I'm tempted to keep it for storing my cashmere sweaters! The carved design on the front and beautifully turned feet are Swedish in design.  I think a cushion on top would make this an adorable bench for the end of your bed.
