Vintage Carved Chairs

Well I finally have time again to devote to finding great pieces for all my customers.  This weeks addition is a pair of carved wood chairs.  They are from the 30's very sturdy and finished with the distressed grey finish that goes with every decor.  

Ladder Back Chairs

These Swedish country style chairs are a ladderback style with turned legs.  They have a grey with black distressed finish and linen seat covers. Hello Hollywood

This table has a new finish for us.  It has a glossy black finish is very Hollywood regency looking.  Its not so glossy that you can apply make up in it, just enough to make it look special.  The table has cane on 2 sides of the inside shelf perfect for books.

French Country

While  sitting in your cottage in the French countryside you will need a small table on which to place your novel or cup of tea.  Beautiful carvings adorn the legs and apron with a grey washed hand painted finish. 23x12x23.5H

Stairway to Heaven

Well at least your beautiful objects or plants will look heavenly on this spiral stairway plant stand. Also great for stacks of books as and end table, it is very solid and stands about 28" high and 20" wide.  The stairs are finished in a glossy white painted finish.

Country console

I'm not usually a fan of country..music, decor, etc.  I have to make an exception for this console table.  It's a little bit country, a little bit vintage and very chic. It is finished in the most perfect creamy white color, has spindle legs and three drawers.  It's a summery breath of fresh air.

Summer in France

Well if we can't be in France we can at least have a small piece of it at home.  This great French Provincial side table could be just the thing.  It has a hand rubbed distressed finish and original hardware.  This is a true side table so the back side is finished the same as the front. There is a single  front drawer with two brass pulls. The dimensions are 20" wide 25" deep and 20" high.

Reflections of Summer

This beautiful round classic mirror is the perfect addition to any bedroom, entry or powder room.  Although traditional in styling the patina is gold with grey overtones and would compliment any decor.  The wreath detail on the top is the crowning touch.  This is an original vintage piece and the mirror itself is as you would suspect not perfectly clear in nature.  This of course adds to the charm of the piece.

More Sunflowers!

Sadly the Sunflower  arm chair is gone but I was able to procure two more side chairs.  They have the very same adorable carved sunflower in the back and are hand finished in a distressed grey wash.  The seats are a very durable neutral fabric.  They would look great with a small round table for an al fresco patio breakfast area!

Summer is here and I'm finally ready for it.

Ok Graduation, family in town and a business trip are all done so I can get back to my favorite things.

I'm looking forward to scouring estate sales and other arena to find coll vintage pieces to add to the collection.

Carved Sunflower Chair

A friend had this Monterey style chair in his home for years.  It was actually part of his father's dining set from the 1930's.  By the time I acquired it, the dull dark finish had splashes of paint all over.  I gave it my signature hand rubbed grey wash. The wood took the paint in a beautifully unique way and the carved sunflower on the chair back was revived and more beautiful than ever. The seat was recovered in new batting and fresh cream fabric.

A Beautiful Place to Write

I love the simplicity of a writing desk.  Room for a laptop and a large curved front drawer for essentials perched atop beautiful Queen Anne legs.  Just imagine a high society maven going over this years gala invitation list.  Top it with a few silver framed photos and a lamp and it goes perfect in any living room or bedroom. Go... don't go .....

You know how when you go shopping for a friend and you find the most perfect gift.  So perfect in fact that you think you may have to keep it. This is how I feel about this latest find.  A wicker and steel console table in perfect condition.  It already has a brownish-grey distressed finish and a 10" wide glass inset on the top so you can safely place items on it. I keep imagining it in different places around the house.  48"W x 15"D x 27"H

Two in the nest

Nesting table are usually square or rectangular.  Being round makes these special and the off white color could mean the beginning of a spring/summer transition for your home.

Side by Side

Everyone can use a cute side table. This piece was saved from extinction with a hand wash of grey paint and a bees wax finish for protection. I imagine this beauty in a bedroom holding a stack of good books below, and a monogrammed carafe of water above. I like when bedside tables are different but complementary.  Perhaps on the other side, a simple iron and glass number.

Past Perfected

I recently found this great antique bench.  From the construction and style I would date it from the 1930's.  After reinforcing the wood base and a paint touch up,  it was given the GLAM treatment with a new cushion in a luxurious zebra print fabric.  I think it would add the perfect amount of drama to any decor from traditional to contemporary.

French Cane Back Chair

I'm so glad spring is finally here!. I have lots of new inventory to share with you. My first item is a beautiful can back chair. I was fortunate to fine it in perfect condition. I decided to give it a french flair with a hand rubbed grey wash and hint of contemporary with a animal print linen seat cushion.
